Privacy Policy
Our Approach to Privacy
Transendence is built around privacy. The platform does not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or remote monitoring tools. Your information remains within the system managed directly by the therapist and is never sold or shared.
This policy explains what information is stored, how it is used, and what choices you have about it.
Information You Provide
When you complete forms, reflections, or exercises on this site, the information you enter is stored securely and linked to your user account. It is used to display your results, generate summaries for your own view, and where relevant, to support therapeutic review by your therapist.
Your data is confidential and is never shared with advertisers, analytics services, or social media platforms.
Some information may need to be retained for a defined period to meet professional, ethical, or legal obligations under UK and EU data protection law. This is standard for therapeutic work and forms part of the therapist’s duty of record-keeping.
Session Data and Cookies
A single session cookie is created when you log in. It allows you to stay signed in while you navigate the site and expires when you log out or close your browser.
No cross-site or tracking cookies are used.
Encryption and Security
All connections to the site use HTTPS encryption. Sensitive data, such as notes or questionnaire responses, may also be encrypted within the database. Regular backups are stored securely and never leave controlled servers.
Your Rights
You have the right to access your data and to request correction or removal of information that is no longer required. A Delete My Data button will allow you to remove personal reflections and non-therapeutic content directly. Records that must be retained under professional standards will be archived securely and not used for any other purpose.
You can also request a copy of any data held or clarification about how it is managed.
Legal Basis and Hosting
Transendence operates under the principles of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Data is processed on the lawful bases of consent, legitimate interest, and professional obligation.
The site is self-hosted on a private server under direct control of the therapist. No commercial cloud processors or analytics services are used.
Contact
For any privacy questions, data access, or removal requests, contact the therapist directly through the contact form or details on the About page.
